While the name says it all, the purpose and use is not always understood.
Leave-In conditioner is not the conditioner you use in the shower after shampooing.
It is a product meant to be used AFTER the shower and left in to be absorbed. It is meant to condition and moisturize your hair in addition to your shower conditioner.
What’s the difference?
While both products aim to achieve similar goals, the main difference is their absorption rate. Conditioners that you use in the shower are essential for a deeper saturation, however, they are heavier ingredients and not guaranteed to be fully absorbed. This calls for a rinse after use.
Leave-in Conditioners are designed to be more lightweight. This is a product used after the shower and at its recommended rate. If I use conditioner, why do I need leave-in conditioner?
Leave-in conditioner serves a great purpose in maintaining your hairs health. While regular conditioner is great to use, it doesn’t always get the job fully done.
